It seems that the snippet for STEP files works with casting to StepGeom_GeometricRepresentationItem, and may be, not tested, with StepRepr_RepresentationItem, rather than StepRepr_Representation.

welcome to the Open CASCADE wiki :)

The best way to contribute your text would be to open a new article names "gppackageoverview" or something like that and add a link to your article in the package zoo article. I think it fits there best, because the reference documentation is thought of as a annotation to the official reference docs. The package zoo corresponds more to the Open CASCADE user guides.

Your help in building this wiki is very much appreciated! Thank you!

I am trying to figure out the difference between the Overview of packages in OCC page and the Open CASCADE reference documentation annotations. They both seem to provide information about Open Cascade libraries. Perhaps the former is package based information and the latter is class based information.

Last year, I wrote an overview of the gp library for my coworkers. I thought I would contribute it so I am trying to figure out where do contribute.

Roman proposed an excellent starting point for the wiki roadmap.

To implement the requirements of highest priority, the current task should be (imho)

• go through the official list of projects, contact the project owners and ask for their permissions to use the info text provided in the official list (or invite them to add the project here themselves)
• work out a structure and a pattern to present the projects here.

Presentation of projects in the wiki

There should be

• a central list of projects, each containing a brief summary
• for more elaborate descriptions, we should open a subsection "projects" on the wiki, into which wiki pages describing the projects are inserted
